Ian Livesey draws the viewer into a joyful rhythm of repetition and colour with this close-cropped image of Dawlishs iconic beach huts. Captured from a slightly lower angle, the triangular rooflines form a playful zigzag against a soft Devon sky, while the bold hues yellow, green, coral and navy create a cheerful, almost musical flow along the curve of the promenade. Its a celebration of British coastal character neat, nostalgic, and full of quiet charm.
