Shipping & Returns Policy

Effective date: 1 August 2026

This Shipping & Returns Policy applies to purchases made through ianlivesey.com (the “Website”) and sets out the terms relating to the delivery and return of artwork, photography prints and other products purchased from Ian Livesey.

1. Shipping

We aim to process and dispatch orders as quickly as possible.

Delivery times may vary depending on the product purchased, whether the item is in stock or made to order, the delivery destination and the availability of the artwork.

Estimated delivery times will be provided where possible at the time of purchase or in your order confirmation.

Orders may be delivered by Royal Mail, courier or another appropriate delivery service.

Once your order has been dispatched, you may receive delivery or tracking information where this is available.

2. Delivery Charges

Delivery charges are calculated and displayed at checkout before you complete your purchase.

Delivery charges may vary depending on the size, weight, value and destination of your order.

Additional charges may apply to international deliveries where customs duties, import taxes or other charges are imposed by the destination country.

Any customs duties or import taxes are the responsibility of the customer unless expressly stated otherwise at checkout.

3. International Orders

We may accept orders for delivery outside the United Kingdom.

International delivery times can vary considerably and may be affected by customs clearance, local postal services and other circumstances outside our control.

Customers ordering from outside the UK are responsible for ensuring that the products they order can legally be imported into their country.

Any applicable customs duties, import taxes or clearance charges are the responsibility of the customer unless otherwise stated.

4. Delayed or Missing Deliveries

While we make every reasonable effort to ensure that orders are delivered within the estimated timeframe, delivery dates are estimates and are not guaranteed unless expressly stated otherwise.

If your order does not arrive within a reasonable period after the expected delivery date, please contact us so that we can investigate the delivery with the relevant carrier.

5. Damaged Deliveries

Please inspect your order as soon as reasonably possible after delivery.

If your artwork or other purchase arrives damaged, please contact us as soon as possible and provide photographs of:

  • The damaged item;
  • The packaging, including any visible damage;
  • The delivery label; and
  • Any other information reasonably requested to help us investigate the issue.

We will assess the circumstances and, where appropriate, arrange a replacement, repair, refund or other appropriate remedy in accordance with your statutory rights.

Please retain the original packaging until the matter has been resolved.

6. Cancellation and Returns

If you are a consumer purchasing from the UK, you generally have the right to cancel an online order within 14 days of receiving the goods, without giving a reason, subject to the exceptions below.

If you wish to cancel an order under this right, you should notify us within 14 days of receiving the goods.

After notifying us of your cancellation, you normally have a further 14 days to return the goods.

Returned goods should be sent securely and suitably packaged to prevent damage during transit.

Unless the goods are faulty, damaged or not as described, you may be responsible for the direct cost of returning the goods where you have been informed of this before placing your order.

7. Exceptions to the Right to Cancel

The statutory cancellation right does not apply in certain circumstances, including goods that are:

  • Made to your specifications or clearly personalised;
  • Custom-made or bespoke products;
  • Sealed goods which are not suitable for return for health or hygiene reasons where the seal has been broken; or
  • Other goods falling within an applicable statutory exception.

Where a product is made specifically to your requirements, the product description or checkout process will indicate where cancellation rights are restricted or do not apply.

8. Condition of Returned Goods

You may handle goods to the extent necessary to establish their nature, characteristics and functionality.

However, you may be responsible for any reduction in the value of goods resulting from handling beyond what would reasonably be permitted in a shop.

Artwork and prints should therefore be returned carefully, securely and in suitable packaging.

9. Refunds

Where you validly cancel an order, we will process your refund in accordance with applicable consumer law.

Refunds will normally be made using the original payment method.

Where applicable, we may withhold reimbursement until we have received the returned goods or you have provided evidence that they have been sent back.

Where required by law, the refund will include the applicable standard delivery charge originally paid by you. Any additional charge resulting from your choice of a more expensive delivery service will not necessarily be refundable.

10. Faulty, Damaged or Incorrect Goods

Nothing in this policy affects your statutory rights.

If an item is faulty, damaged on arrival, materially different from its description or otherwise does not conform to the contract, please contact us as soon as possible.

Depending on the circumstances, you may be entitled to a repair, replacement, price reduction or refund under applicable consumer law.

11. Limited Edition Artwork

Limited edition prints and artwork may be produced in restricted quantities.

The availability of a particular edition may therefore be limited, and once an edition has sold out it may not be reproduced.

Details concerning edition size, numbering, signatures, certificates of authenticity, framing and other characteristics will be provided in the relevant product description where applicable.

12. Contact

If you have a question about delivery, cancellation or returning an order, please contact us through the contact details provided on the Website.

Please include your order number and, where relevant, photographs or other information that may help us deal with your enquiry.

13. Your Statutory Rights

This policy is not intended to limit or exclude any rights you have under applicable UK consumer protection legislation.

Your statutory rights remain unaffected.
